Hui Yang ATOM F3A Biplane – Christophe Paysant-Le Roux (CPLR)
The Hui Yang ATOM F3A Biplane, designed by multiple F3A World Champion Christophe Paysant-Le Roux (CPLR), is a full-size 2 metre competition aircraft manufactured by Hui Yang Professional F3A.
Developed for the demands of modern precision aerobatics, the ATOM combines CPLR’s extensive F3A aircraft design and competition experience with Hui Yang’s lightweight composite construction and exceptional standard of manufacture and finish.
With its distinctive unequal-span biplane configuration, the ATOM has been developed as a high-performance platform for serious F3A competition. The airframe can accommodate either a counter-rotating drive system or conventional electric motor, allowing the pilot to select their preferred powertrain configuration.
With a manufacturer-quoted empty airframe weight of just 2,450 g, excluding accessories and landing gear, the ATOM provides an excellent foundation for a lightweight competition build within the FAI F3A requirements.
